Twitter More Than Just Social
Twitter is becoming more and more a household name, bringing the death of Michael Jackson out to most and organizing protests in Iran but there is one developing use for the micro-blogging site that is sweeping the business world, customer support. Much like call centers, the micro-blogging site has allowed businesses to communicate with customers in real-time, when they don’t have access to their desktops and laptops. This and many other uses for the blogging phenomenon that has taken mainstream business application makes the world easier for most of us and more should be expected to come as the world takes to the cloud, if they manage to get over the many other hurdles that have to be ironed out.
Twitterers the world over simply cannot do without their round0the clock twitting and even major news groups have added such social functions to their news service a clear cut sign that life without the social internet is not next to impossible. Technology is here to stay and as it becomes smaller and smaller, it has the ability to captivate our imagination, even thinking of novel ways to use the myriad of technological wonders we have at out fingertips, all a Twit away.
