Stay Off Social Networking Sites

socnet.jpgFor the umpteenth time, when will people ever learn that social networking sites are a big pain when it comes to possible identity theft. The case involves FaceBook (again and again and again) where hackers offer a download of some free game along in their pages or some other pages they have already hacked into getting personal information from the unsuspecting users as they did agree to download the free game. Or some free shiny thingy that was supposed to serve some purpose (yep, it’s got purpose alright, to take all your personal information and to become you). Will you people never learn? These social networking sites are for pure entertainment and socializing so why are there corporate email accounts listed, why are users using them form within the office, and why do people bother to visit and post stuff only to get a hefty credit card charge they didn’t actually use? Be safe and keep all your personal information, safe from these sites, try using aliases and other diversionary techniques to throw people off your information so you don’t end up as another point in statistics.
